Since 2009, ITEXACT have been working with organisations to optimise their costs, productivity, security, and business intelligence via the cloud optimisation platform Surveil.
Following private investment into the development of Surveil, ITEXACT are seeking a mid or senior level Java/Kotlin Backend Developer to join our dynamic, global team. This new role will tie directly into the next stage of development for our powerful cloud optimisation platform, Surveil.
The team: You’ll be joining a team of 30 employees across technical, sales and marketing, and administrative departments. Currently, our employees are situated remotely across Europe, Asia and South Africa, with communication and collaboration powered by Microsoft Teams and internal initiatives. Our team will also be expanding into the US as part of the investment. This role will belong to a very innovative and growing IT Development team, comprised of 7 people presently located in Lithuania.
Job Description
We are looking for a mid or senior Java/Kotlin Developer to join our team and help develop backend services for our platform. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin, as well as experience with database design and development.
As a Java/Kotlin Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backend services for our platform. You will work closely with our product and design teams to understand the requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging any issues that arise in the backend services.
List of technology/tools/systems: Spring Boot, Java/Kotlin, Mongo DB, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure API/Services.

Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java and/or Kotlin.
- Experience with database design and development, both SQL and Non-SQL.
- Experience with web development and integration frameworks.
- Experience with API design and development.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Beneficial to have familiarity with working with Microsoft Office 365 or Azure type API’s.
- Beneficial to have experience in other areas like Python, NodeJS, R.
